I found this quote interesting, because it makes me thing that Florence Nightingale is the exact type of person that I would like to befriend.“I attribute my success to this - I never gave or took any excuse.”
The following quote was chosen because while it doesn't directly say anything profound about life or a "greater power", the quote demonstrates his irrepressible optimism about his condition and the lightness with which he speaks about his "misfortunes". "This synthesizer is by far the best I have heard, because it varies the intonation, and doesn't speak like a Dalek. The only trouble is that it gives me an American accent."
I chose this picture primarily because it shows Goodall in her "office" or "space", a space I will emulate should i choose her as my client in exp. 2. "So all we can do is trying to, each of us, do our bit to make the world better and it's better than just giving up and doing nothing, because if we do nothing, then it's finished."
